The GREEN×EXPO Association (Official Name: Public Interest Incorporated Association 2027 International Horticultural Exposition Association, Chairman: Yoshinobu Tsutsui, Location: Naka-ku, Yokohama) and Yokohama F.C. Sports Club Co., Ltd. (Representative: President and CEO Kazuo Ageo, Location: Totsuka-ku, Yokohama) signed a comprehensive partnership agreement on July 3, 2026 (Fri). The agreement aims to mutually cooperate and contribute to the creation of a sustainable future society, sharing the common philosophy of "Landscapes of Tomorrow, Creating Happiness" which is the theme of GREEN × EXPO 2027.

Overview of the Comprehensive Partnership Agreement

1. Areas of Cooperation

Cooperation related to the realization of a sustainable society through the conservation of the natural environment and the promotion of carbon neutrality (decarbonized society).

Implementation of events and exhibitions.

Awareness-raising activities for the next generation.

Public relations, promotional activities, and fostering momentum.

Other matters related to enhancing the value of each other's businesses.

2. Specific Initiatives Based on This Comprehensive Partnership Agreement

(1) Participation in "SNS Environmental Action"

Players and team staff will post about their environmental actions on social media, thereby expanding the circle of initiatives and awareness regarding global issues to fans and sports-related individuals.

(2) Information Dissemination for GREEN×EXPO 2027 at Yokohama F.C. Match Venues, etc.

A booth for GREEN×EXPO 2027 will be set up within the match venue to showcase promotional videos, etc. This will create opportunities for attendees to consider the interrelationship between the Earth, nature, plants, and sports.

July 3, 2026 (Fri) - December 31, 2027 (Fri)

Background of the Comprehensive Partnership Agreement

This agreement was concluded to effectively utilize the resources and know-how of both parties, aiming for the success of "GREEN × EXPO 2027 (2027 International Horticultural Exposition)" to be held in Yokohama in 2027, and the creation of a sustainable future society beyond that.

The GREEN×EXPO Association aims to leverage the power of sports, which can intuitively appeal to a wide audience, to convey the "proposals for global issues such as the biodiversity crisis" that GREEN×EXPO 2027 will communicate, and to create opportunities for individuals to perceive these issues as their own. To this end, it collaborates with sports organizations.

Yokohama F.C. is actively engaged in "Sport Positive Leagues (SPL)," an international environmental assessment indicator for climate action promoted by all 60 J.League clubs. Through this agreement, the club will utilize the communication power of sports and its network with local communities to actively promote nature conservation, awareness-raising activities for the next generation, and foster momentum for the exposition.
