Washinmura is a small glamping village with only six rooms, located in the satoyama (foothills) of Futtsu, Chiba. On the grounds dotted with a roughly 200-year-old traditional folk house, a nagayamon (longhouse gate), tents, and Jyubako (mobile houses), guests live alongside 15 protected cats, as well as goats, dogs, Silkie chickens, and other animals.
During the day, you can carry a woven basket on your back to climb the slopes or explore the forest. A traditional 'primal experience' awaits, where you play using your whole body. At night, you can chat leisurely while watching the flames of a bonfire. It is a common sight at Washinmura to see a cat curled up and sleeping peacefully beside you. We would be delighted if you could casually enjoy such a day in the satoyama.

─────────────── ⚠️ Regarding Animal Snacks
Under the guidance of a veterinarian and for the health management of the cats, we kindly ask that you refrain from bringing commercially available snacks, as it is difficult to manage their contents.
If you wish to give them snacks, please purchase the ones sold at the Washinmura shop. *They are sold in limited quantities.
We carefully select our products, ensuring they are additive-free and made from domestic ingredients. Thank you for your cooperation.

*The cats live freely on the premises. Please be careful if you have allergies. *Since the animals are whimsical, we do not know which room they will visit, and there is no guarantee they will come. *The cats and dogs at Washinmura have undergone spaying/neutering and receive vaccines and tick prevention medication.
