Washinmura is a small glamping village with only 6 rooms, located in the rural landscape of Futtsu, Chiba. In an area dotted with a traditional house and gatehouse built approximately 200 years ago, as well as tents and cabins, 15 rescue cats, goats, dogs, and a family of silky fowl live together with humans.

During the day, guests can enjoy a traditional 'primal experience'—carrying a woven basket on your back to climb slopes, exploring the forest, and playing using your whole body. At night, take time to chat while watching the flames of a bonfire. It is a common sight at Washinmura to see a cat curled up asleep right next to you. We hope you enjoy a day in this rural setting and the healing presence of nature and animals.

Notice regarding animal treats: Under the guidance of a veterinarian and to manage the cats' health, we ask that guests refrain from bringing in store-bought treats, as it is difficult to monitor their contents. If you wish to give them treats, please purchase the ones sold at the Washinmura shop. These are sold in limited quantities and are carefully selected to be additive-free and made from domestic ingredients.

- Cats live freely on the premises. Please be aware if you have allergies. - Animals are unpredictable; we cannot guarantee which room they will visit or if they will visit at all. - The cats and dogs at Washinmura have been spayed/neutered and receive vaccinations and tick-prevention medication.
