Washinmura Glamping Facility in Chiba Announces 2026 Roadmap for a Comprehensive 'Satoyama Village' Experience

In 2026, Washinmura is stepping into a new chapter.

Our goal is to create a place that goes beyond simply being a 'place to stay.' We aim to create a 'village' itself, enveloped in the rich cycle of life of the satoyama, where guests can find profound healing. With this determination, we have released our roadmap for the 2026 fiscal year.

- Completion of a 'Treehouse', a special seat close to the sky. - 'Satoyama Dining', where guests can gather around a fire and enjoy health-nourishing meals. - 'Pesticide-free soil cultivation' to protect a safe environment for both people and animals. - 'Retreat Stay' programs to nurture the sensibilities of the next generation. - An 'Original Goods Brand' to bring the healing of the satoyama into everyday life.

All of these initiatives are designed to connect the rich cycle of life found here to the future.

Currently, the 'Kotatsu and Mikan (Mandarin Orange) Festival' is also being held until the end of February. Come and take a deep breath in the original landscape of Japan. About the Facility A 6-room glamping village located in the satoyama of Futtsu, Chiba. Dotted across the grounds are a 200-year-old traditional Japanese house (kominka), a gatehouse (nagayamon), tents, and Snow Peak 'Jubako' mobile houses. Guests coexist with the following animals:

- 15 rescue cats - Goats - Dogs - A family of Silkie chickens

During the day, guests can enjoy traditional 'original experiences' by using their whole bodies to play—carrying woven baskets up slopes or exploring the forest. At night, you can chat leisurely by the bonfire while a cat curls up beside you to sleep. This is a common sight during a day at Washinmura.

### Regarding Animal Snacks Under the guidance of veterinarians, to manage the cats' health, bringing in commercially available snacks is prohibited. If you wish to give them treats, please purchase the specially selected snacks (additive-free, domestic ingredients, etc.) sold at the Washinmura shop. *Available in limited quantities.

### Other Notices - The cats roam freely on the premises. Please be aware if you have allergies. - Animals are fickle; we cannot guarantee which room they will visit. They may not come at all. - The cats and dogs at Washinmura are spayed/neutered and receive vaccinations and tick prevention treatments.
