The Key to Eliminating Prejudice Against Disabilities Was "Experience" - A "New Social Model with Dance" Involving Administration, Businesses, and Education Begins

Our company supports April Dream, which aims to make April 1st a day to announce dreams. This press release is the dream of "Fairy Entertainment, a General Incorporated Association (Location: Tokyo)".

Our dream is to create a society where there is no discrimination or prejudice against disabilities, and where "differences" become new values instead of barriers.

Dance has the power to connect people beyond words and positions. We believe in that power and continue to create opportunities for people of all abilities, including siblings, youth, and adults, to get to know and accept each other through dance.

By naturally bringing together diverse people, we eliminate "misunderstandings and prejudices born from lack of knowledge" and promote a society that respects diversity. Currently, we are already creating "natural spaces for coexistence" in society, centered on inclusive activities where people perform together regardless of the presence or absence of disabilities.

Ultimately, our goal is for everyone, regardless of disability, to laugh together, work together, and live together. Beyond the relationship of supporting and being supported, we aim for a society where each individual has their own role and value, and can shine. We are serious about realizing that future through the power of entertainment.

Current Initiatives (Practices towards the Dream) To achieve this dream, we are already undertaking the following activities.

Implementation of Inclusive Performances Regardless of disability, all members stand on the same stage and perform together. We continue to create new forms of expression based on "how we can do it together" rather than "can or cannot do it."

Initiatives in the Welfare Sector in Collaboration with Administration In collaboration with local authorities, we conduct visiting dance lessons called "Happy★Dance" at welfare facilities. Our aim is to promote the physical and mental health of children and adults with disabilities, support the shortage of care staff (reducing the burden of recreation, enriching daytime activities), and improve the quality of local welfare services, by directly engaging with the facilities.

Diversity & Inclusion Training for Corporations We provide experiential training to corporations to learn about diversity. In addition to lectures, through dance and improvisation work, we encourage a shift from "intellectual understanding of diversity" to "experiential understanding of diversity," leading to the promotion of DE&I within organizations, improved communication, and updated values.

Approach to School Education We conduct classes on the theme of diversity understanding in schools. By fostering children's "ability to accept differences" and "ability to collaborate with others" from an early age, we aim to transform society itself in the future.

Message Our dream is not an "ideal," but a "project that has already begun to move as a reality." Therefore, we strongly seek cooperation with media, corporations, and local governments to further expand this initiative into society and evolve it into a greater impact.
