Roughly ten years ago, when I was still living in Osaka,

I happened to visit ZAZY-san's home in Tokyo after work

and was treated to a hot pot with very few ingredients.

While I was awkwardly trying to liven up the sparse meal with jokes,

a housemate in the living room looked at us

with contempt, like we were misshapen eggplants,

and refused to join our conversation.

That was my first encounter with Jiniki-kun.

Mutual aversion and mutual curiosity.

I felt paralyzed, as if he could see through the flimsy, fabricated personality I had constructed with lies,

but it seems he felt the same way.

Since then, we've continued to pursue our crafts,

in a relationship where we understand each other without needing to speak.

I want it to be like this. It must be like that.

If it were me. If it were you. You probably think so too. Then so do I.

Joe Kujou is two years my junior, but on our first meeting, he hit me with the super logic: 'We might as well be peers.'

This radio show is like Mars and Roy—two people with similar basic moves but subtle differences. It's a show where I get to yell 'Nooo!' and jump upward.

Recently, I told Miyamoto (formerly Taiyou), Joe's former partner, that I'd be doing a radio show with Joe. He replied, 'Congratulations! I won't be listening though.'
