Shibuya Future Design and Kabaya Foods Co., Ltd. are participating in Shibuya Ward's heatstroke mitigation efforts as part of the "Good Sweat, Shibuya. Action" project.
"Good Sweat, Shibuya. Action" is a project that positively frames the sweat shed for oneself, others, and the city, encouraging it as "good sweat." By supporting proactive actions born through sports, events, and city activities, it develops new urban actions unique to Shibuya, focusing on wellness, community building, and heatstroke countermeasures.
As summer intensifies, opportunities for breaking a "good sweat" through outings, exercise, work, and commuting will increase. Through this initiative, in collaboration with Shibuya Ward's heatstroke mitigation measures, we are promoting the creation of an environment where visitors, workers, and residents can spend their summer with peace of mind.
As part of this effort, starting Monday, June 1, 2026, Kabaya Foods' "Salt Charge Tablets" will be installed in the atrium on the 2nd floor of the Shibuya Ward Office. They will also be provided in limited quantities at select Cool Share spots and Cooling Shelters (29 heatstroke mitigation facilities) within Shibuya Ward.
Cool Share spots are initiatives to share cooling by utilizing public facilities or consolidating household usage to reduce overall air conditioning load, and are also used for heatstroke prevention when going out. Cooling Shelters are facilities opened when special heatstroke alerts are issued, providing an air-conditioned space where anyone can take refuge from high outdoor temperatures.
As a project that positively supports "good sweat," we aim to provide comprehensive support including rest, water, and mineral (salt and potassium) replenishment. This initiative is being rolled out as part of a new wellness action in the city.
(Note: "Minerals" refers to salt and potassium. Installation begins June 1, 2026. Limited quantities available until stocks run out.)
