Dedicated Website: https://www.pixiv.net/contest/goodmannercreativeaward

This contest is part of the 'Shibuya Good Manner Project' led by Shibuya Mirai Design, aiming to promote a new value from Shibuya: 'Solving social issues = Cool style' through creativity, transforming everyday 'manners' into cool 'actions.' The contest features two categories: 'Clean Action,' encouraging enjoyable urban beautification, and 'Customer Action,' deepening mutual understanding in shops and public spaces. We welcome original illustrations and graphic works.

Judges include Zeebra, a hip-hop activist and Tourism Ambassador for Shibuya City Tourism Association; Saegi Sugaura, Deputy Mayor of Shibuya Ward; and Makoto Honma, Chairman of Shibuya Central Street and President of the Shibuya District Beautification Promotion Committee. The judging process will emphasize practicality and social good, evaluating how entries creatively address real-world issues and resonate with Shibuya's unique urban atmosphere, ultimately selecting the Grand Prize winner.

Winning works will be announced at the SIW2026 Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, November 3, and will be displayed on large digital screens in Shibuya and at the upcoming Shibuya Art Festival 2026 in November 2026, enhancing the city's cultural landscape.

Hip-Hop Activist / Tourism Ambassador, Shibuya City Tourism Association

Zeebra

"Personally, through my activities in Shibuya, I've participated in clean-up efforts and community collaborations. I've come to realize that the charm of the city isn't created solely by the government or a few individuals, but is supported by the actions of each person. Not littering, showing respect to workers—these seemingly ordinary actions are actually vital elements in shaping the city's culture.

For this award, I hope to see works that use creativity to shift people's awareness and behaviors regarding social issues like littering and customer harassment.

Not 'I follow manners because I have to,' but 'I want to do it because it's cool.' I hope we can send this new value from Shibuya. I'm looking forward to your free and creative ideas."

Deputy Mayor, Shibuya Ward

Saegi Sugaura

"In Shibuya Ward, we are actively working on various initiatives to prevent issues like street drinking, street smoking, littering, and graffiti, as well as to create a safe and comfortable environment for everyone. However, a truly attractive city cannot be achieved by regulations and rules alone. What matters most is that each individual feels empathy toward the city and its people, and thinks, 'I want to take action too.'

This award is a very Shibuya-like initiative, transforming urban beautification issues like littering and graffiti, as well as challenges in mutual understanding such as customer harassment in stores and public spaces, into positive actions through creativity. When administration sets the rules and creativity moves people's hearts, manners can evolve from something 'to be enforced' into a culture 'naturally practiced by all,' leading to a Shibuya where everyone feels safe and welcome.

I look forward to seeing impactful works born from your unique and free-thinking ideas that can change people's behaviors and awareness."

Chairman of Shibuya Central Street / President of Shibuya District Beautification Promotion Committee

Makoto Honma

"Every day, we work together with local residents and business owners to keep Shibuya clean and safe. Through this, we've realized that the city's environment isn't shaped by any single person, but is sustained by the actions of each individual, including visitors. For this award, we hope to see everyday manners like 'not littering' and 'considering others' expressed as creative works so appealing that people are inspired to act on them immediately.

Shibuya is a city visited by people from all over the world. We hope the works born here will touch many hearts and help make good manners a new culture of Shibuya."
