Shibuya Mirai Design (Representative Director: Hideki Koizumi, hereinafter 'Shibuya Mirai Design') will once again host the 'SIW IMPACT' award program as part of 'SOCIAL INNOVATION WEEK (SIW) 2026,' to be held in November 2026.

SIW IMPACT is an award program that recognizes 'actions and ideas that lead to a better future.' Transforming society isn't only about major technological breakthroughs. Individual curiosity, challenges, creative ideas, and actions that inspire others are what create new futures and cultures. SIW IMPACT aims to discover these seeds of social impact and expand them into society through co-creation. In 2026, the program will feature four categories: 'GOOD INNOVATOR,' 'GOOD IDEA,' 'Good Sweat, Shibuya,' and 'Good Manner Creative Award,' inviting and honoring initiatives that shape the future.

We are now opening entries for the public submission category, 'GOOD IDEA,' starting July 13, 2026 (Monday). Building the city of the future might begin with someone's free-thinking idea and a small step forward. SIW IMPACT is not just an award that evaluates ideas—it's an award that connects them to social implementation through co-creation with diverse players.

We welcome applications from individuals who wish to create new culture in Shibuya through art and creativity, and from those who aspire to make society a little better.

About the 'GOOD IDEA' Category

The 2026 theme is 'New Urban Development Starting from Art and Creativity.'

We are seeking ideas that use the power of art and creativity to change people's behaviors and values, creating new cultures and communities within the city of Shibuya.

Eligibility: Open to individuals, students, artists, creators, startups, and companies—regardless of nationality, residence, or professional/amateur status.

Judges will be Future Designers from Shibuya Mirai Design, active leaders across diverse industries. These judges, each with unique expertise, will evaluate entries not only on originality but also on social impact and feasibility of implementation in Shibuya. More than just a contest, this is a co-creation space where insights from different fields intersect, supporting new challenges.

In addition, the Grand Prize winner will receive 100,000 yen, and Shibuya Mirai Design will provide hands-on support for social implementation, with potential collaboration opportunities with SIW and the Shibuya Art Festival. A key feature of SIW IMPACT is that it doesn't end with recognition—it aims to turn ideas into reality within the city of Shibuya.
