Felissimo's "SeeMONO" brand, which offers DIY kits and interior goods, launched online sales on May 18 for "Water-Spilled Glass Trays" and "Glass Bead Accessories," both supervised by kiln work artist etrak glass. The trays, featuring a design that looks like spilled water, and the ear accessories, with their rhythmic sequence of shapes, are both created using the "kiln work" technique, where glass plates are melted in an electric kiln.
◆ Water-Spilled Glass Trays These trays look like water kept in shape by surface tension, as if holding the surrounding light. High-temperature heating of cut glass plates in an electric kiln produces this roundness and a luster that resembles real water. They come in three types: a large piece that can be used as a coaster, two medium pieces that can serve as accessory trays, and four small pieces perfect for cutlery rests. Three delicate glass beads that look like water droplets are also included as a bonus.
◆ Glass Bead Accessories These glass earrings/piercings feature a soft roundness and droplet-like luster produced by kiln work, emitting a gentle light. The combination of small, teardrop-like glass and smoky colors gives them a mature impression. You can choose between earrings and piercings.
◆ Supervisor: etrak glass The artist creates accessories and plates using the "kiln work" technique, where glass is heated and fused in an electric kiln at approximately 700°C to 850°C. The artist's studio also regularly conducts workshops and classes to promote the expressions of kiln work glass.
