FERNANDA JAPAN Co., Ltd. will launch its 'Pink Grapefruit Collection' on July 16, 2026, in limited quantities. The collection features 15 items with a refreshing, juicy pink grapefruit scent, enhanced by upcycled kabosu peel oil from Oita Prefecture.

FERNANDA JAPAN Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Yokohama, Kanagawa; CEO: Takayuki Nagai, hereinafter 'FERNANDA') will launch the 'Pink Grapefruit Collection' in limited quantities* starting July 16, 2026. A total of 15 items featuring a refreshing and vibrant 'pink grapefruit' scent, perfect for summer breezes, will be available.

Oita-Produced Kabosu Enhances the Freshly Squeezed Pink Grapefruit Aroma

To more authentically recreate the scent of pink grapefruit, FERNANDA once again collaborated with kabosu citrus farmers from Oita Prefecture.

Oita Prefecture is renowned for citrus cultivation, with kabosu accounting for over 98% of national production, making it a signature local specialty. Within the prefecture, kabosu is a beloved 'supporting actor' in cuisine—squeezed over sashimi and fried dishes, or added to miso soup and alcoholic drinks—making it a daily presence at dining tables.

The kabosu used in this 'Pink Grapefruit Collection' was provided through the cooperation of Mr. Fujihara, a kabosu farmer in Usuki City. After juice extraction for food processing, the peels—which would otherwise be discarded—are upcycled. By locally converting them into essential oil, the 'kabosu peel oil' is used as a fragrance ingredient, enhancing the pink grapefruit's smooth acidity and refreshing aroma, delivering a juicy, freshly-squeezed sensation.
