The Upopoy (National Ainu Museum and Park), operated by the National Ainu Museum and Park Foundation (Sapporo City Chuo-ku, Chairman Teruki Tsunemoto), will renew its currently offered "Upopoy Official Audio Guide App" starting April 1, 2026 (Wednesday). Following the renewal, the service will transition to a new system accessible via the web. In conjunction with this, new Ainu language text will be released as introductory remarks for the existing Ainu language audio content. Furthermore, the distribution of the conventional download-type app will end on April 10, 2026 (Friday). About the "Upopoy Official Audio Guide App" Released in 2020 as a free app downloadable to mobile devices (smartphones and tablets). It introduces the National Ainu Museum, National Ainu Museum and Park, and various initiatives through audio and images, covering exhibits and programs. It offers audio and text in 8 languages, including Ainu, for 31 content items at the National Ainu Museum and 15 at the National Ainu Museum and Park.
