Forest Adventure Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Masaki Takuwa) and Zenkyoken Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Fukuoka; President: Kokichi Horiguchi), a tutoring school operator in Northern Kyushu, held a media presentation and trial event on May 24, 2026, at Forest Adventure Hisayama to mark the launch of their joint project, 'Forest Learning.' This project combines Forest Adventure's network of 45 'nature-symbiotic outdoor parks' with Zenkyoken's 80 tutoring classrooms to extend learning beyond the classroom and into nature. At the first site, Forest Adventure Hisayama, 20 'inquiry' questions devised by Zenkyoken instructors have been installed. Questions such as 'How tall is this tree?', 'What is the speed of the zip slide?', and 'Why does wood smell when shaved?' connect to Japanese, math, science, and social studies, allowing children to learn while enjoying activities. At the presentation, Yukiko Hara from Forest Adventure's Corporate Planning Department and Shizuko Higashimura, Executive Officer at Zenkyoken, spoke about their vision for the project. Both companies will continue to work on new educational experiences that foster children's curiosity and independence under the theme of 'learning beyond the desk.'
