Forval Corporation (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Masanori Nakajima; hereinafter "Forval") is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the contract for the Reiwa 8 (2026) "Fukuroi City SME Digitalization Promotion Project" (hereinafter the "Project"), commissioned by Fukuroi City, Shizuoka Prefecture.

Background and Objectives of the Project Award

In the face of rapid societal changes such as a declining working population due to an aging society and employment mismatches, leading to severe labor shortages and rising labor costs, improving productivity through business digitalization has become an urgent priority.

Based on the results of the "Fukuroi City Survey on the Current State of SME Digitalization" conducted in Reiwa 4 (2022), challenges were identified regarding what aspects of business to digitalize (scope of operations) and how to visualize the results (effects) of digitalization. Forval has been supporting business digitalization by introducing case studies for specific management issues and facilitating solutions with experts.

The objective of this project is to strengthen the "earning power" of local SMEs and other businesses, enabling them to better adapt to environmental changes, by promoting digitalization and enhancing their management capabilities.

Details of the Commissioned Work

The main initiatives are as follows:

- Selection of Supported Businesses

Approximately 8 companies are expected to receive support. Following selection, integrated support will be provided to improve operations and enhance productivity.

- Support for Resolving Management Issues

Support will focus on improving management, leading to operational improvements, increased productivity, and wage increases, rather than merely introducing digital tools.

- Project Reporting (Delivery of Deliverables)
