Fukuoka Financial Group Co., Ltd. (President Hisashi Goshima, hereinafter 'FFG') announces that it has been selected for the Children and Family Agency's 'Fiscal Year 2026 Subsidy Program for Promoting the Concept of Companies Growing Together with Children' (hereinafter 'the Subsidy Program'). Additionally, FFG has been designated as one of 14 nationwide financial institutions selected as a 'Kodomo Mannaka Leading Bank.'

The Subsidy Program aims to realize a 'child-centered society' by having regional financial institutions act as 'Kodomo Mannaka Leading Banks' to support local companies' initiatives for children and childcare. Regional financial institutions are expected to expand the number of companies that treat childcare support as a management priority by leveraging dialogue with businesses and financial functions. Through this program, FFG will promote initiatives that contribute to talent acquisition, retention, and enhanced corporate value for local enterprises by building a sustainable finance model centered on childcare support.

Main Initiatives by FFG

Expansion of Sustainable Finance Incorporating Childcare Support

FFG will newly introduce evaluation criteria related to childcare support within its bank framework-type Sustainability-Linked Loan, 'Future-Oriented SLL Finance F-Efu.' Through KPI setting and hands-on support tailored to each company's initiatives, FFG will encourage voluntary behavioral change among regional enterprises.

Hands-on Support for Local Enterprises

Utilizing tools such as SSIndex, FFG will support local companies in assessing their current status and identifying challenges related to childcare support, providing continuous assistance from KPI setting and implementation to impact measurement.

Promotion of Financial Education

To enhance children's financial literacy, FFG will develop and promote educational materials using financial education board games. Through utilization at local events and schools, FFG will advance financial and economic education for the next generation of children.

FFG's Own Initiatives

FFG itself will act as a 'company growing together with children' by implementing programs for male employee participation in childcare, enhancing childcare-related policies, and conducting training for managers to create a workplace environment conducive to balancing work and childcare.

Future Outlook

FFG aims to expand the number of local enterprises that position childcare support as an integral part of business management and human resource strategy through this Subsidy Program. Furthermore, by leveraging unique financial institution capabilities such as hands-on support and financial products, FFG will contribute to realizing a 'child-centered society' and the sustainable development of local communities.
