[Fukuoka University] Lecture on Mongolia's Environmental Issues and Legal Policies (May 27)

Fukuoka University's Carbon Neutrality Promotion Center, co-hosted by its International Cooperation and Human Resource Development teams, will hold an Educational Initiation Lab lecture titled "Mongolia's Environmental Problems and Environmental Law/Policy" on Wednesday, May 27, at the university's Central Library.

For this lecture, Gampurev Tsagaanbayar, a lawyer who is the representative of the Mongolian law firm "Bayar & Oka Partners" and an alumnus of the Fukuoka University Graduate School, will be invited to give a talk on environmental issues, laws, and policies in Mongolia.

In recent years, Fukuoka University has been promoting education, research, and social collaboration aimed at realizing carbon neutrality, with the strengthening of international cooperation being a key pillar. Through exchanges with the National University of Mongolia, the university has been collaborating in the fields of environment and sustainability.

Mongolia faces various environmental issues, including air pollution and resource utilization problems caused by rapid urbanization, as well as energy challenges attributed to climatic conditions. These issues offer profound insights for countries including Japan, and this lecture provides an opportunity to consider the realization of a carbon-neutral society from an international perspective.
