Futaba Corporation announced that flyers using their radio control transmitters, receivers, and aircraft swept the podium at the 2026 KOREA F3A WORLD CUP, held from April 23 to 25 in Seoul, South Korea.
F3A is an official competitive category for radio-controlled aerobatics set by the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI). It is one of the premier classes in the field, where high-precision control is required under international rules. Each maneuver is strictly scored by judges, demanding both advanced machine performance and pilot skill.
Competition Results Winner: Tetsuo Onda (Transmitter: T32MZ-WC, Aircraft: SkyLeaf Leader ACE) Runner-up: Yuhei Suzuki (Transmitter: T32MZ-WC, Aircraft: SkyLeaf Leader ACE) Third Place: Takayuki Suzuki (Transmitter: T32MZ, Aircraft: SkyLeaf Leader ACE)
At this competition, approximately 80% of participants used Futaba's transmitters and receivers. Additionally, about 40% of participants used the "SkyLeaf (Leader series)" aircraft, demonstrating the brand's strong presence. The high responsiveness and stable communication performance, even in challenging environmental conditions, played a crucial role in supporting the flyers' performance.
Moving forward, Futaba remains committed to leveraging the technical expertise gained in professional competition to accelerate product development, not only for radio control products but also for applications in UAV and FA (factory automation) fields.
