Gakken Releases Children's Science Book "It's Funny, But It's Science Vol. 2: Fun Chemistry Around Us" Featuring Ig Nobel Prize Research

Gakken Inc. released Volume 2 of the children's book series "It's Funny, But It's Science: Fun Chemistry Around Us" on May 14, 2026. Having sold over 100,000 copies in South Korea, this volume features 10 Ig Nobel Prize-winning chemistry studies, such as the cause of foot odor and fart-trapping underwear. Through humorous topics, abundant illustrations, and a scientific glossary, the book helps children intuitively learn complex concepts. Future volumes covering biology, earth science, and life science are also planned for release later this year.
