Gakken Co., Ltd., a group company of Gakken Holdings Co., Ltd., launched the 'Gakken Manga Nyumon Series NEO' on May 28, 2026. The first titles released are 'Improving Youth Soccer' and 'Improving Youth Baseball'.

This new sports introductory series is designed for children who want to start a sport but don't know where to begin, and for parents who want to teach rules and basic knowledge in an easy-to-understand way. Leveraging Gakken's extensive experience in educational manga, the series aims to support children in their new challenges.

The series consists of two steps: manga and explanation. In Step 1, readers enjoy the fun of sports through full-color, passionate stories. In Step 2, they can master techniques and practice methods through Q&A-style explanations with illustrations. The books also include a glossary reflecting the latest rules at the end, which is useful for parents and coaches.

The books feature an A5-variant softcover format that is easy to carry and read. To commemorate the launch, the manga is being released for free for a limited time on the 'Gakcomic' website. Future releases include swimming and basketball in June, and tennis and table tennis in September, with more to follow.
