Exceptional Response in Asahi Shogakusei Shimbun! New Puzzle-Solving Story 'Nazogatari' Released!

Gakken Co., Ltd., a group company of Gakken Holdings Co., Ltd. (Shinagawa, Tokyo; President: Tatsuya Nanjo), released the children's book 'Nazogatari: The Seven Mysteries of Ichifukuji and the Two Wishes' on May 28, 2026. This book is a long-awaited compilation of the 'Puzzle x Story' series that gained popularity in the Asahi Shogakusei Shimbun. The main feature of 'Nazogatari' is that the story progresses based on the 'answers to the puzzles.' Readers think, worry, and search for answers alongside the protagonists. The setting is the mysterious Ichifukuji Temple, featuring characters Haruku and his cousin Sakura. The illustrations are by Nanase, and the puzzles are created by popular social media figures Asayoru and Shiroi Kaibutsu. The book consists of 15 chapters, each taking about 5 minutes to read, making it perfect for morning reading. A new chapter, 'Nazogatari: The Ink Yokai and the Seven Mysteries of the School,' is scheduled for release in July 2026.
