The Municipal DX Promotion Council (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo, hereinafter 'GDX') delivered a guest lecture on April 30, 2026 (Thursday), at the Shibaura Institute of Technology Omiya Campus as part of the university's newly established 2026 course, 'Social Issue Seminar.'
The lecture theme was 'Making the Unknown Known: Survey Strategies for Visualizing Social Issues.' Drawing on the know-how from survey projects GDX conducts for local governments nationwide, they systematically explained three phases: survey design, data collection, and utilization.
In a post-lecture survey conducted among participating students, lecture satisfaction reached 96.6%, and 99.1% of students responded that their 'understanding of survey (investigation) design was deepened,' earning extremely high evaluations.
The Municipal DX Promotion Council (GDX) is an organization aimed at supporting the digital transformation (DX) of local governments. Through the implementation of municipal DX consciousness and factual surveys, the publication of the 'Municipal DX Guide,' provision of DX consulting services, and creation of matching opportunities between local governments and businesses, GDX supports operational reform and the digital transformation of regional societies. Additionally, GDX contributes to the development of next-generation talent through collaboration with educational institutions.
