Background of the Event
KEY FIGURES
The Furusato Nozei system is at a major turning point since its inception, with the prohibition of point-based donations via portal sites starting in October 2025, followed by the implementation of fair recruitment standards (expense ratios), revisions to local product standards, and further revisions to the tax deduction limit planned from the 2027 donation year.
As it becomes more difficult to motivate donors through point acquisition competitions on portal sites, municipalities are required to redesign donor communication to "build lasting relationships with donors and foster repeat participation."
To visualize the challenges and future strategies faced by each municipality during this transitional period, the Council conducted the "Furusato Nozei Actual Condition Survey (May 2026)" targeting Furusato Nozei departments in municipalities nationwide. This Report Meeting will not only broadly share the aggregated results but also serve as a platform for companies to introduce solutions useful for operating Furusato Nozei in the new era.

"Furusatozu," a storefront Furusato Nozei® service celebrating its 5th anniversary this year, was born from the desire to "turn fans of shops into fans of the town." Its features include a design that is not easily compared with other services, a mechanism that allows businesses to promote donations smoothly within their daily operations, and a variety of functions.
