Beyond Zero Physical Restraints: Yokohama Hospital Applies for Humanitude® Certification Across All Wards

Medical Corporation Genkikai Yokohama Hospital aims to obtain further Humanitude® certifications in FY2026. They plan to achieve Bronze certification for their long-term care facility and four medical treatment wards, while the dementia treatment ward targets Silver. Having achieved zero physical restraints, the hospital introduced the French care method Humanitude®, based on 'looking, speaking, touching, and standing,' to protect patient dignity. A cross-functional project team and certified instructors are leading hospital-wide training to improve care quality for the elderly and dementia patients.
