abc Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Hajime Matsuda; TSE Code: 8783; hereinafter 'the Company') has decided to launch its new business, the 'Media & Live Event Business' (branded as 'CPJ STUDIOS'), at its joint venture 'Crawford Production Japan' (hereinafter 'CPJ') on June 15, 2026.

This business represents the first phase of the Company’s 'Combat Entertainment 3.0' initiative. Its goal is to connect the value of Japanese combat sports, fighters, and related IPs to the global market through media, live events, sponsorships, and licensing. The first episode of its global program, featuring world-renowned professional boxer Ryan Garcia, has already been recorded and will be rolled out worldwide in stages.
1. Background and Challenges
While Japan possesses fighters and a combat sports culture with world-class skill and individuality, the Company recognizes that mechanisms to fully connect their value to global fans, markets, sponsors, and monetization opportunities remain limited.
On June 5, 2026, the Company announced 'Combat Entertainment 3.0,' a combat entertainment initiative led by its joint venture 'CPJ' in collaboration with Terence Crawford, a former professional boxer highly ranked as No. 1 in the Pound for Pound (PFP) boxing world rankings. At that announcement event, the Company also revealed that Ryan Garcia, the current WBC World Welterweight Champion and a professional boxer with over 13 million social media followers worldwide, would serve as the new Public Relations Strategy Ambassador.
'CPJ STUDIOS,' launching now, is positioned as the first phase of this initiative—transforming the appeal of fighters and competitions into media content to expand fan bases and create sponsorship value, while laying the foundation for future IP development, live events, and licensing.
2. Business Content (Four Core Areas)
This business is a production-driven media and live event venture centered on the following four areas:
Program Production & Distribution: Production and distribution of global programs in both English and Japanese, with multi-platform rollout via video platforms and social media. The first episode, featuring Ryan Garcia and others, has already been recorded and will be released sequentially.
Fighter IP Production: Support for overseas exposure and branding of Japanese athletes.
Live Events & Experiences: Planning and operation of public recordings, fan events, and special matches (in collaboration with partner organizations), utilizing 'CAMELOT' (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo), an entertainment facility operated by a subsidiary of the Company, as a permanent venue.
Sponsorships: Planning and offering sponsorship opportunities for programs, athletes, and events.
Revenue will be generated from five sources: sponsorships, production income, tickets and experiences, distribution advertising, and distribution rights and licensing, with the aim of expanding medium- to long-term revenue opportunities.
3. Social Significance and the 'Co-Creation Model'
The initiative will involve collaboration with CPJ as the business entity, JV partner Terence Crawford, PR Strategy Ambassador Ryan Garcia, domestic ambassador Ren Hiramoto (RIZIN MMA fighter), business partner CAMELOT Co., Ltd. (a subsidiary of the Company), and various production partners.
The business aims to contribute to the entire combat sports industry by increasing fighter exposure and enhancing IP value. Live events such as special matches will be co-created in partnership with existing combat sports organizations, rather than competing directly. By serving as a 'bridge' to deliver Japan-originated combat sports value to the world, the Company aims to support the sustainable development of Japan’s sports and entertainment industries.
4. Future Outlook
The Company envisions a three-stage value creation process for fighter value: 'Media-ization → IP-ization → Digital Assetization.' This business is positioned as the starting point (first stage). Further developments and expansions from the second stage onward will be formally announced as preparations progress.
