GinzaNovo to Undergo First Major Renovation for Late 2027/Early 2028 Reopening

Commercial facility GinzaNovo (formerly Tokyu Plaza Ginza), located at 5-2-1 Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo, announced its first major renovation since its rebranding in December 2025. Opened originally in March 2016, the facility plans to complete the renovation between late 2027 and early 2028. Rebuilt under the design concept of a 'light vessel' in collaboration with Gensler, the revamped structure will combine traditional Japanese patterns with modern architecture, showcasing features like a glowing entrance and contrasting materials. Flagship and major stores will continue operating during the construction period. The facility spans 2 basement levels and 11 above-ground floors, with official operating hours from 11:00 to 21:00 for shops and 11:00 to 23:00 for restaurants.
