AmbiRise Launches AI-OCR Automated Data Entry Assist for 'Haratte', an E-Invoicing Service for Local Governments

AmbiRise Co., Ltd. 1. Background: Eliminating redundancy and lowering barriers to adoption Previously, 'Haratte' supported invoice creation via manual input or CSV data import. While businesses able to export CSVs from their existing accounting systems operated smoothly, those issuing only PDF invoices had to manually transcribe data into 'Haratte,' posing a significant barrier to system adoption. To alleviate this workload and make 'Haratte' more accessible, the company developed a new feature incorporating rapidly evolving generative AI-OCR technology.

2. Feature Overview: Zero-effort for both staff and businesses In typical OCR services, public institution staff must process files. However, with this feature, data is automatically extracted the moment the business uploads the file, eliminating processing time for public staff. For businesses, uploading is integrated into their existing workflow of sending invoices, creating no extra steps.

- Powerful reading regardless of layout: By adopting generative AI-OCR, the system can flexibly read invoices regardless of layout (item placement or design). Existing PDF invoices can be used as they are. - Reduction of transcription time and errors: Automating data extraction reduces manual transcription time and prevents human-made transcription errors, enhancing the accuracy of accounting work. - Three creation methods for flexibility: Businesses can now choose the optimal mode among 'manual input,' 'CSV import,' and 'PDF reading' (new feature) according to their environment.
