Canon has registered seven office multifunction devices and laser printers in the Bronze tier of EPEAT 2.0, a new version of the international eco-label for electronic products based on updated criteria. Among them, two models are the world’s first imaging equipment products to be registered under the EPEAT 2.0 Imaging Equipment category.

EPEAT is an international eco-label established in 2006 for electronic products. Products are registered at Gold, Silver, or Bronze levels based on their compliance with sustainability criteria, and are widely used by enterprises, schools, and hospitals worldwide for procurement decisions.
To expand influence across the entire supply chain, strengthen environmental and social initiatives, and enhance transparency and accountability in the electronics industry, registration under EPEAT 2.0—with its new criteria—began in December 2025. EPEAT 2.0 evaluates not only product environmental performance but also manufacturers’ supply chain management practices, including procurement and production systems, positioning it as a more rigorous benchmark for product selection.
On June 16, 2026, Canon registered two models—the U.S.-market office multifunction device imageFORCE C3150 and the laser printer Color imageCLASS X LBP1333C—under EPEAT 2.0. These are the world’s first products registered under the Imaging Equipment category of EPEAT 2.0. On July 8, Canon further registered five additional models: the imageFORCE C5100 series and the imageFORCE C1333P. Canon has also been recognized as an EPEAT 2.0 Launch Partner for being among the first manufacturers to register one or more products under EPEAT 2.0 by June 30, 2026.
Canon has continuously enhanced environmentally conscious design through initiatives such as incorporating recycled materials and reducing specific chemical substances. Additionally, the company has strengthened management systems and risk assessments related to labor environments and occupational health and safety at manufacturing sites. Canon also promotes transparency by informing suppliers of procurement policies and identifying production locations of procured components and raw materials across its product supply chain. These efforts have enabled compliance with the new criteria defined under EPEAT 2.0.
Going forward, Canon will continue expanding the number of EPEAT 2.0-registered products across its broad lineup of printing solutions, advancing the provision of sustainable products.
