SMBC Group, Fujitsu, and SoftBank Agree to Business Alliance in Health and Medical Field to Build a Domestic Healthcare Platform for Sustainable Healthcare

SMBC Group, Fujitsu Limited, and SoftBank Corp. have signed a basic agreement for a business alliance in the health and medical field to ensure the sustainability of Japan's healthcare system. The partnership will establish a domestic healthcare platform to securely manage and utilize medical data with patient consent. It will also offer a user app with an AI agent that combines medical and personal health data to provide personalized support, from daily wellness to medical treatment. The initiative aims to promote health, encourage behavioral changes, and ultimately contribute to curbing future medical expenses by an estimated 5 trillion yen.
