JCB Co., Ltd. will launch 'MyJapan+ by JCB,' an app for JCB cardmembers visiting Japan, starting in Taiwan in June 2026. The app directly delivers special offers and store information to users, driving traffic to Japanese merchants to revitalize the local economy. With over 38 million overseas members, JCB saw 1 in 3 visitors from Taiwan utilize its services by 2025. The app features three main functions: 1. Value: Provides app-exclusive coupons and campaigns, including affordable access to KDDI's 'Japan SIM' eSIM. 2. Support: Offers barcode scanning for product details and reviews (by Payke), travel columns, and restaurant searches. 3. Concierge: Predicts customer needs based on app behavior to suggest optimal offers using AI. JCB plans to expand sequentially to other East Asian and ASEAN regions. To mark the launch, JCB will run a 10% cashback campaign and a half-price Japan SIM promotion, targeting 300,000 downloads in Taiwan in the first year. Partners include KDDI Digital Life, Payke, and Treasure Data.
