JCB Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, Chairman and CEO: Takayoshi Futae, hereinafter: JCB) has begun selling "Oshikatsu Cancellation Insurance," which was planned and developed by Mysurance Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, President: Hiroomi Shimizu, hereinafter: Mysurance), a small and medium-sized short-term insurance company and a subsidiary of Sompo Japan Insurance Inc.
Background of the Initiative
In July 2025, JCB launched "JCB no Hoken" (JCB's Insurance), a service that allows for easy management and application of insurance through the web service "MyJCB" exclusively for JCB card members. Since then, JCB has been working to create synergy by providing new value to customers with partner companies and was considering the development of new services in response to the growing demand for "Oshikatsu" (fan activities).
While the "Oshikatsu Cancellation Insurance" developed by Mysurance has been gaining recognition, a challenge has been creating touchpoints to inform customers at the timing when they book transportation and accommodation for travel after the results of live event lotteries are announced.
As both companies' recognition of these challenges and their desired direction aligned, they have launched this initiative to aim for the realization of a new customer experience that delivers peace of mind at the necessary timing to customers enjoying "Oshikatsu" by combining "JCB no Hoken" provided by JCB with Mysurance's insurance products.
