Good Neighbors Japan (GNJP) has issued a report regarding the drone crash that occurred in Galati, Romania, on May 29. A drone crashed into an apartment building, causing an explosion and fire that injured at least two people. GNJP has confirmed that its two Japanese staff members stationed in Romania are safe. It has also been confirmed that the injured civilians—a mother and child—are beneficiaries of 'Pro Veritas,' a local partner organization. As the only Japanese NGO with an office in Galati, GNJP is currently assessing the situation and interviewing affected parties and the local community to determine what humanitarian assistance can be provided. The organization remains committed to prioritizing safety while considering appropriate support from a humanitarian perspective.
