About the University Brochure 'Discovery PR'

While internet-based research has become the mainstream method for students choosing their academic paths, opportunities to accidentally discover unfamiliar universities or fields of interest are decreasing. Go Good Co., Ltd. focuses on bookstores — spaces where many people naturally visit in search of knowledge.

The initiative was first launched at Sanseido Bookstore's Ikebukuro Main Store, where the new experience of NFC-tag-based information access, along with the ease of casual browsing and free takeaways, received strong positive feedback from visitors. As a result, the program is now expanding to the Nagoya Main Store, Sanseido's flagship location in the Tokai region.

This project sets up a special brochure rack inside Sanseido Nagoya Main Store, offering visitors unexpected encounters with 'unknown universities and academic fields' beyond their usual search scope — a concept called 'Discovery PR.' When high school and middle school students visit the bookstore with their parents on weekends, they may naturally come across university brochures while browsing general books, creating organic opportunities for career-path discussions.

Features of the University Brochure 'Discovery PR'

1. Brochures from 30 private universities available

Brochures from 30 universities — including popular schools among high school students and institutions known for unique academic programs — are displayed on a dedicated rack. This allows visitors to discover university strengths that cannot be measured by deviation scores or brand recognition alone.

2. Free browsing and take-home access

The latest university brochures on display can be freely browsed on-site, allowing visitors to compare multiple universities side by side. Visitors may also take home brochures of interest at no cost.

3. NFC tags enable instant smartphone access to university websites

NFC tag cards are placed at the brochure corner. By simply tapping their smartphones on the tag, visitors can seamlessly access official university websites, digital brochures, and other information — offering a new digital experience for gathering university information.

NFC Solution for Instant University Information Access

By tapping the NFC tag of a university of interest with their smartphone, visitors can instantly access the university's official website or digital brochure. This allows even those hesitant to take physical brochures to easily gather information. Additionally, tap counts per university are logged for marketing data analysis of the campaign. (Note: No personal information is collected via NFC taps.)

※ What is NFC?

NFC (Near Field Communication) is a type of RFID technology enabling short-range wireless communication. It is widely used in transportation IC cards and smartphone contactless payments. NFC tags can store URLs, and when tapped with an NFC-enabled smartphone, instantly direct users to web content — a simple, accessible tool for information sharing.
