GMO Internet, Inc. announced that its 'GMO GPU Cloud' Managed HPC Cluster service began supporting NVIDIA's 'Enroot' container runtime and 'Pyxis' Slurm plugin on May 13, 2026. This makes GMO the first commercial HPC GPU cloud provider in Japan to officially support both Singularity and Pyxis/Enroot. These tools allow developers to invoke containers directly from Slurm job commands, enhancing workload portability and flexibility for generative AI and LLM research and development by reducing migration costs from local to cluster environments.
