GMO Cybersecurity by Ierae Inc. held an IT literacy and cybersecurity lecture for about 1,000 students at the JGSDF Higher Technical School at the JGSDF Takeyama Camp on May 12, 2026. Given the rise of SNS and generative AI, the company's white hat hackers shared knowledge on risk management. The three-part lecture covered smartphone dependency and its security risks, legal responsibilities regarding social media posts and digital tattoos, and modern cyber threats such as fake CAPTCHAs, AI-generated fake videos, and chat scams. In 2025, the company had previously provided cybersecurity education to 60 students in the school's System and Cyber Course. This initiative aims to cultivate IT literacy and cybersecurity awareness among the youth who will support public safety. Executive Officer Okuno encouraged students to protect themselves and their organization using correct knowledge. GMO Cybersecurity by Ierae plans to expand these educational activities to other institutions.
