GMO Pepabo Co., Ltd. (President and CEO: Kintaro Sato; hereinafter 'GMO Pepabo'), part of the GMO Internet Group, will begin providing its new service 'Lolipop! Zero Trust Link by GMO Pepabo' (URL: https://ztna.lolipop.jp) starting July 15, 2026.
This service allows devices located in different places—such as at home, in the office, or in the cloud—to securely connect directly via encrypted communication by simply installing a dedicated application. It enables safe access to necessary data and systems from anywhere. Based on the 'zero trust' (※1) model, which requires identity verification and permission checks for every connection, the service ensures high security. No device configuration or technical expertise is required, allowing individuals and small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) to start using it within minutes.
In the future, the service will also offer connectivity features enabling AI agents to securely access internal company data and systems.
(※1) A security concept that does not unconditionally trust even internal network access, requiring identity verification for every connection.
[Background of Service Launch]
With the widespread adoption of remote work and increased use of cloud services, business-critical data and systems are now distributed across on-premises servers, cloud environments, and other locations. In response to these changes, the need for secure network connectivity that allows safe access to data from anywhere has expanded beyond large enterprises to include individuals and SMEs.
In this context, alongside traditional security models that assume internal networks are trustworthy, the 'zero trust' approach—requiring identity verification and permission checks for every connection—is gaining global traction. However, most currently available zero-trust network services are foreign-developed and designed primarily for large enterprises. There are few services that offer Japanese-language support and compliance with domestic regulations while remaining accessible and easy to adopt for individuals and SMEs.
Leveraging its expertise from operating the 'Lolipop! Rental Server by GMO Pepabo' (URL: https://lolipop.jp/), which has served over 2.5 million cumulative users since 2001, and its experience providing network services through the fixed-IP VPN service 'Lolipop! Fixed IP Access by GMO Pepabo' (URL: https://vpn.lolipop.jp/), GMO Pepabo is launching this new service as an accessible network connectivity option for individuals and SMEs.

[About 'Lolipop! Zero Trust Link by GMO Pepabo']
'Lolipop! Zero Trust Link by GMO Pepabo' is a network connectivity service that enables devices in different locations—such as at home, in the office, or in the cloud—to securely connect directly via encrypted communication by installing a dedicated application. This allows safe access to required data and systems from anywhere. Based on the zero trust model, which performs identity verification and permission checks for every connection, the service ensures high security. With no need for device configuration or technical knowledge, individuals and SMEs can begin using it within minutes. Additionally, administrators can manage access permissions via a web-based management interface, setting who can access which devices or systems based on specific use cases.
Technically, the service adopts WireGuard® (※3)-based P2P (Peer-to-Peer) (※4) mesh communication (※5), enabling direct connections between devices over an encrypted private network (mesh) without routing through relay servers, unlike traditional VPNs (※6). This minimizes setup complexity and reduces communication latency, allowing multiple locations and cloud resources to be treated as if they were on the same network. The service can also replace existing VPN environments.
(※3) An open-source encrypted communication technology that enables fast and secure communication. WireGuard® is a registered trademark of Jason A. Donenfeld.
(※4) A communication method where devices connect directly without going through a central server.
(※5) A communication model where multiple devices are interconnected in a mesh-like structure, not dependent on specific relay points.
(※6) Short for Virtual Private Network. A system that establishes a virtual private line over the internet for secure communication.
Main Features
(1) Secure Connection Without Technical Knowledge—Connect in Minutes
There is no need for complex configurations of VPN devices or routers. Simply install and log in to the dedicated application, and devices will securely connect via encrypted communication. (2) Japanese Support and Compliance with Domestic Regulations
The service provides Japanese-language support, along with Terms of Service and Privacy Policy compliant with Japanese laws and regulations.

[Future Outlook]
GMO Pepabo is promoting AI-driven business support and service development across the company. In the future, this service will provide connectivity features enabling AI agents to securely access internal data and systems.
With the rapid proliferation of AI agents, a major shift is underway from an era where 'humans use software' to one where 'AI uses software.' In environments where AI agents autonomously process data and communicate, the choice of infrastructure directly impacts a company's data management responsibility. GMO Pepabo aims to become 'infrastructure for people using AI and for AI agents' by integrating three services under the concept of 'move, deliver, connect': 'Lolipop! Deploy Now by GMO Pepabo,' which allows one-command deployment of web applications created by AI agents; 'Lolipop! AI Agent Cloud by GMO Pepabo,' enabling 24/7 operation of AI agents accessible via browser; and 'Lolipop! Zero Trust Link by GMO Pepabo,' securely connecting remote devices and systems via encrypted communication. By promoting domestically developed infrastructure, GMO Pepabo aims to empower Japanese businesses and creators to maintain data sovereignty in the AI agent era, ultimately realizing a society where everyone can focus more fully on their creative expression and business.
