KADOKAWA Corporation (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President & CEO: Tsuyoshi Natsuno) announced that it will begin sales of the "Stretch Your Baseball Brain with Math and Japanese" (Tigers Drill / Giants Drill / Hawks Drill) series for elementary school students on July 16, 2026, in collaboration with three professional baseball teams: the Hanshin Tigers, Yomiuri Giants, and Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks.

Turning Passion for Baseball into Lifelong Thinking Skills

For young baseball fans, the stadium is a special place that makes their hearts race. However, parents often worry that while their children know baseball inside and out, they struggle with their studies. This drill series was created to address those parental concerns by channeling that passion for baseball into learning energy. With the cooperation of each team, a collection of logic and thinking quizzes in math and Japanese, all tied to baseball, has been developed.

Original Quizzes Directly Linked to Baseball

The series features original quizzes based on school curriculum infused with baseball elements. Within each 144-page book, the essence of math and Japanese is condensed.

For math, the drills include four arithmetic operations quizzes using the field and bases, as well as Sudoku-style pitching problems. For Japanese, it features quizzes such as competing for the total number of strokes in kanji using batters and pitchers, and batting problems where you choose the correct course based on the word's meaning.

One-Question-per-Page Brain Training Style

The books adopt a simple, one-question-per-page format. The entire volume is structured like a 9-inning game, allowing for rhythmic study. Every page is full-color, featuring original designs with each team's mascots.
