Game magazine 'Weekly Famitsu' (published by KADOKAWA Game Linkage, Editor-in-Chief: Hiroko Saga) celebrates its 40th anniversary since its inception in 1986 on Saturday, June 6, 2026.

Released today, Thursday, June 4, the 'Weekly Famitsu' super-sized anniversary issue features numerous special projects and spans over 400 pages. This is the first of four consecutive commemorative issues to be published throughout June.

Furthermore, a commemorative live stream will air on the anniversary date, Saturday, June 6, and a real-world event titled 'Famitsu 40th Anniversary Fes' has been confirmed for Saturday, November 7.
