The book, based on the toddler program 'Synapusyu' produced by TV Tokyo Corporation, is designed as a first introduction to fine arts for young children. The project includes production cooperation from TV Tokyo, supervision by Hidehiro Ikegami, and writing cooperation by Risa Takeuchi.
Pre-orders are currently available at bookstores and online retailers nationwide in Japan.
The content connects familiar objects featured in the book, such as fallen leaves, acorns, and flowers, to artistic concepts by asking questions like "What shape is this?" and "What color is this?" Children then encounter famous masterpieces by artists like Munch and Van Gogh alongside the character Pusyu-pusyu.
By noticing the "wonderful" elements in everyday scenes, the book helps cultivate a perspective for enjoying famous paintings. It serves as a first step into art, bridging familiar objects with the world of fine arts.
About "Synapusyu" "Synapusyu" is the first toddler program broadcast by a commercial television network, airing on the TV Tokyo network. The program actively utilizes online streaming, and as of May 2026, its official YouTube channel has exceeded 860,000 subscribers. Furthermore, theatrical films were released in 2023 and 2025, with 'Synapusyu THE MOVIE' surpassing a cumulative attendance of 300,000. Since 2023, the concert event "Pusyu Song Fes" has been held annually.
