Global Trust Networks Inc. (GTN), established in July 2006, has welcomed Sushi Bomber Inc., established in June 2019, into its group. GTN, headquartered in Toshima-ku, Tokyo, and Sushi Bomber, headquartered in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, will combine their strengths. Sushi Bomber's expertise in pre-arrival education, including Japanese language, vocational training, and Japanese culture/manners, will be integrated with GTN's 20 years of experience in supporting foreign nationals' living in Japan (housing, communication, finance, medical care). This collaboration addresses the severe labor shortage in Japan due to the declining birthrate and aging population. The Specified Skilled Worker program, launched in April 2019, has seen the number of registered support organizations grow to approximately 11,000 as of March 17, 2026. Data from an October 2025 expert meeting indicates that about one in four Type 1 Specified Skilled Workers change jobs, with half of those changes occurring within one year of employment. Sushi Bomber has a track record of educating and recruiting approximately 3,600 individuals and providing registered support to about 2,700 individuals as of March 2026, with transactions with approximately 1,000 companies. The goal is to reduce the burden on companies accepting foreign workers, improve retention rates, and provide a secure living and working environment for foreign nationals. The combined entity aims to share its expertise with the industry to enhance overall support quality.
