808TOKYO, a Hawaii-themed diet-specialized personal training gym in Omotesando, a 1-minute walk from Meiji-jingumae Station (Exit 7) and a 7-minute walk from Harajuku Station, is offering a stretch and meditation class [~ Me Time to Tune Your Mind and Body ~]. Reservations for June have begun.

During the rainy season, many people experience symptoms such as 'feeling heavy,' 'lack of motivation,' and 'being prone to swelling.' These rainy season ailments are often not recognized as physical illness, but in many cases, they are thought to be symptoms caused by the unstable atmospheric pressure, humidity, and lack of sunlight affecting the autonomic nervous system.

808TOKYO's stretch and meditation class 'Me Time to Tune Your Mind and Body' is based on the concept of 'a reward time for yourself to unravel accumulated mental and physical fatigue and become a comfortable you.' It uses stretches that extend every part of the body and breathing meditation to create a calm mind, approaching the autonomic nervous system disrupted by the rainy season climate and releasing mental and physical stress.

◇◆ Effects of Stretch & Meditation ◆◇ ● Reset stress and fatigue ● Improve sleep quality for a more comfortable awakening ● Improve posture for a more beautiful silhouette ● Foster a positive mindset and mental space ● Increase concentration and work efficiency ● Curb appetite for greater dieting effects

< Message to Customers > I first encountered meditation when I was 16, active as a rhythmic gymnast. I was guided by a mental trainer who worked with the Japanese national team at the time. I remember being confused at first, not understanding what I was doing or why. However, as I continued daily, I felt my mind and body, exhausted from studies and practice, begin to relax, and a positive feeling of 'Okay!! Let's try hard again today!' welled up. Also, my mind became organized, and I could focus on 'what I needed to do now' without being swayed by emotions. As a result, I was a player who made very few mistakes, and I am proud that I achieved satisfactory academic results. It was around this time that I experienced the 'zone,' the strongest state spoken of in the sports world. After retiring from active competition, I continued meditation sporadically, but not as diligently. Looking back, I realize that I neglected meditation and stretching (exercise) the most when I felt unwell mentally and physically. I repeated a cycle of poor sleep quality leading to overeating, which led to a decline in my physique and mental state, which I then rebuilt through meditation and exercise. When I entered my 40s and took a big look back at my life, I remembered that I liked the mental state of my 16- to 18-year-old self. I wanted to return to that time... With that feeling, I studied various perspectives such as Zen teachings, mindfulness, and yoga. As I made them a habit, I felt my mind and body become lighter, and life became much easier than before. More than anything, I love the clear time I spend meditating. The world of meditation is profound, and I myself am still learning, but I would be happy to share such wonderful changes and comfortable times with you. Please give the gift of 'Me Time' to yourself, who works hard every day.
