The 2026 Japan–U.S. Innovation Awards Innovation Showcase is a program that highlights promising Japanese startups with cutting-edge technologies. In 2026, five companies were selected from a pool of 50 nominees, and HACARUS was chosen as a representative of the artificial intelligence (AI) sector.
The selected companies will present their technologies and business initiatives at the "16th Japan–U.S. Innovation Awards Symposium," to be held on July 16, 2026 (Thu) at the Frances C. Arrillaga Alumni Center, Stanford University, California, USA. The symposium brings together entrepreneurs, investors, corporate executives, researchers, and policymakers to discuss technological and innovative trends between Japan and Silicon Valley.

Additionally, the "2026 SunBridge-John Thomas Emerging Leaders" program to be featured at the symposium has selected Anthropic as the U.S. Emerging Leader and Sakana AI as the Japan Emerging Leader.
About the Award Program
The "Japan–U.S. Innovation Awards Program" is an annual initiative that celebrates innovation and collaboration between Japan and Silicon Valley. Organized by the Japan Society of Northern California in partnership with the Stanford U.S.–Asia Technology Management Center, the program is now in its 16th year. The Innovation Showcase highlights innovative Japanese startups, providing them with a platform to present their technological and business potential to U.S. investors, entrepreneurs, and industry professionals.
