Yasuda Logistics Adopts Generative AI for Document Digitization: Implementing Hacobu's 'MOVO Adapter' AI-OCR

Yasuda Logistics Corporation and Hacobu Inc. announced the implementation of the AI-OCR service 'MOVO Adapter' at Yasuda Logistics. MOVO Adapter utilizes generative AI to read document content and automatically convert necessary information into digital data. This service reduces manual input tasks and streamlines subsequent operations by digitizing primary information.

The background for this implementation lies in the challenge of digitizing 'unstructured documents' in logistics. The industry handles a wide variety of document formats, and those with handwritten corrections or marginal notes have been difficult to read automatically. Yasuda Logistics struggled with varying shipping and receiving request forms from different clients. With MOVO Adapter, the AI 'reads and understands' the content, allowing for automatic extraction without the need for pre-defined position settings.

The implementation targets the Heiwajima branch, with operations starting on April 20, 2026. The system processes shipping and receiving requests and outputs them in CSV format. Future plans include company-wide deployment and integration with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
