Itabashi Mansion Management Association Network (Itakan Net), jointly with Haikan Hozen Center Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Takahiro Fujita), will hold the '1st Mansion Festival 2026' event on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at High Life Plaza Itabashi (Itabashi-ku, Tokyo), targeting members of condominium boards of directors and repair committees.

Background of the event - Why is it necessary for management associations to 'gather' now?

Due to soaring prices and severe labor shortages, the environment surrounding condominium management is changing significantly. The 'reverse replacement' where management companies refuse to renew management entrustment contracts is becoming a reality in various places, and the shortage of repair reserve funds is becoming a structural problem for Japan as a whole, rather than an individual problem.

Under these circumstances, there is a limit to a single management association gathering information independently and making appropriate decisions. However, if many management associations unite and share market information, success stories, and know-how to spot bid-rigging, the situation will change drastically.

This event was planned as a first step to gather 100 to 200 management associations initially, aiming for the solidarity of 10,000 associations in the future. The purpose is for the members of the management associations to become 'smart orderers' and acquire the ability to negotiate on an equal footing with contractors.
