Award-winning Artist Ruri Takahashi Creates Stone Sculpture in Goemon Bath with Arima Stones! 'Immersive Modern Art' Debuts at Arima Onsen Taiko-no-yu

Arima View Hotel Co., Ltd. (Address: 292-2 Ikenojiri, Arima-cho, Kita-ku, Kobe; President: Yasuhiko Takada) has installed artworks by artist Ruri Takahashi at two locations in the east and west outdoor zones of 'Arima Onsen Taiko-no-yu' starting April 2026. These works are stone sculptures crafted using stones from the Arima Onsen region on Goemon bath pots, allowing visitors to enjoy them as 'immersive modern art.'

Ms. Takahashi won both the 'Arima Onsen Taiko-no-yu Award' and the 'Audience Grand Prix' at the 'Kobe Rokko Meets Art 2024 beyond' festival. The current work, titled 'You as the Brain,' was newly created utilizing the existing Goemon baths at Taiko-no-yu. The installation was realized based on the artist's desire for visitors to physically experience and enjoy the artwork while actually bathing.

Artist Comment 'What do people think about when they enter a hot spring? Sometimes, it might be good to become the brain of the bathtub's head. I hope many people will enter this "head," engage in naked companionship, and turn this into a tolerant bathtub.'
