Hanwha Japan Expands 20-Year Warranty Coverage for Solar Panels

Hanwha Japan Co., Ltd. has announced the expansion of its "Hanwha 20-Year Warranty System" for solar power systems to include all solar power systems equipped with solar panels sold by the company.

This system is a unique warranty service that combines manufacturer warranties with extended warranties to provide long-term support for natural failures of components in solar power systems. Additionally, it includes coverage for on-site repair labor and compensation for first-year power generation simulations, ensuring customers can use their solar systems with peace of mind over a long period.

Background of the Expansion Previously, the warranty was limited to systems equipped with the "Re.RISE-NBC" series solar panels. In response to customer demand, the eligibility has been expanded to all solar power systems equipped with Hanwha solar panels.

Main Features of the Warranty System It supports long-term use through three types of guarantees over 20 years from the manufacturer warranty start date: ・Extended Warranty: Provides services up to 20 years after the warranty start date, even after the manufacturer warranty ends. ・On-site Repair Labor Guarantee: Covers on-site labor fees for repairs in the event of natural failures. ・Power Generation Simulation Compensation (first year only): Compensates for the equivalent of electricity sales if first-year generation falls below expectations.

Eligibility for Existing Systems While applications are usually required within a certain period after the warranty starts, the company is accepting applications for existing systems for a limited time. This applies to residential solar power systems that started their warranty on or after December 1, 2025, with an application deadline of June 30, 2026.
