Headwaters Presents 2 AI Research Findings at JSAI 2026

Headwaters Co., Ltd. will present two research findings at the 2026 Japanese Society for Artificial Intelligence (JSAI) National Convention, one of Japan's largest academic events in the AI field, held from June 8 to 12 at G Messe Gunma and online. The presentations highlight the company's continuous R&D and practical technology exploration. The first presentation, scheduled for June 8, is titled 'A Study on Improving OCR Accuracy through Granularity of Visual Information and Context Completion in LLMs.' It addresses how visual information is handled in LLMs and how context completion can enhance OCR accuracy, a topic highly relevant to document understanding and data digitization in business. The second presentation, scheduled for June 11, is titled 'Optimization of Kansei Alignment in Story Translation,' conducted jointly with Sagami Women's University. It explores how to optimize emotional quality and consistency in story translation, offering valuable insights for translation AI and content creation. These presentations build upon Headwaters' previous research on SLMs and automated scenario translation using GraphRAG.
