July 19, 2026 (Sunday) At Chiba City Children's Exchange Hall
HeartKids Japan (Headquarters: Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture; Representative Director: Koichi Sugimoto) will host a "Parent-Child Violin Concert" on July 19, 2026 (Sunday) at the Chiba City Children's Exchange Hall (4-5-1 Chuo, Chuo Ward, Chiba City, inside Kibōru).
This concert is a special program of "HeartKids Lab 2026 in Chiba," an experiential event where children learn about the heart and medical care. The performer is professional violinist Ai Takamatsu, a graduate of Tokyo University of the Arts with over 700,000 social media followers. This is a private, family-only concert where children from 0 years old can attend and safely enjoy the unique resonance of live music, even with infants.
A Summer to Encounter the "Authentic Sound"
In an era where music is always accessible via smartphones and streaming services, live performances—where one can feel the musician's breath, the sound resonating through space, and the unique atmosphere created only in that moment—offer irreplaceable experiences that cannot be replicated at home.
The violin used by Ai Takamatsu is the 1840 Cremona-made "Enrico CERUTI," loaned anonymously through Beare's International Violin Society Japan with the cooperation of Bunkei Gakki. This is a rare opportunity to experience the authentic sound of a legendary instrument up close.
We hope this summer day spent together as a family will become a cherished memory—"the day we first heard live music."
A Private Concert Where Families with Young Children Can Feel at Ease
Many parents hesitate to attend classical concerts, worried about their child crying or moving around during the performance.
This concert is held as a private, family-only event, allowing families with young children or those with medical conditions to enjoy music at their own pace, without concern for others. It's also recommended as a "concert debut" for young children.
To maintain a safe and dedicated space for families, registration for access to the Chiba City Children's Exchange Hall is required. The "Chiba City Children's Exchange Hall Usage Card" can be registered on the day of the event.
Supporting Not Only Medical Care, But Children's "Experiences"
HeartKids Japan is an NPO supporting children with congenital heart disease (birth heart conditions) and their families. Through initiatives such as lending pulse oximeters, we have supported families' daily peace of mind.
We believe in supporting not only medical needs but also children's "experiences." With this in mind, alongside the HeartKids Lab, we have planned opportunities for families to experience authentic music. This concert is made possible through grants and public support, and is free of charge.
