Overview On April 28, 2026, Helical Fusion Co., Ltd., aiming to create a fusion energy industry under the 'Helix Program' targeting the commercialization of fusion energy in the 2030s, held the 'Helix Program Partnering Event in Tokyo' at the Port Hall in Tokyo Port City Takeshiba.

Purpose of the Event The event aims to build a world-class fusion energy industry originating from Japan by promoting collaboration across various fields nationwide, from manufacturing to energy utilization. Since its first event in Aichi in July 2025, it has been held in Fukuoka, Okinawa, and Shizuoka, making this the sixth occurrence. As the first event held in the Kanto region, approximately 100 people participated.

Official Partner Program The 'Helix Program Official Partner' program, which was announced on the same day, was introduced. Nichias Corporation and Hasegawa Textile Co., Ltd. were introduced as the first participating companies. Representatives from each company took the stage to discuss the potential of fusion energy and their expectations for the Helix Program.

Progress in Development Takaya Taguchi, Representative Director and CEO of Helical Fusion, explained the overview of nuclear fusion, the significance of industry creation, and the progress of development and construction plans. Currently, the construction of the final demonstration device, 'Helix HARUKA,' is underway within the premises of the National Institute for Fusion Science in Toki City, Gifu Prefecture. This is a pioneering example of concrete construction based on detailed design. Models of the first power generation unit, 'Helix KANATA,' were also exhibited, sparking lively discussions.

Future Prospects Helical Fusion will continue to hold partnering events nationwide to expand the circle of partners, aiming to achieve 'practical power generation' with a team that aggregates the power of Japanese industries.
