(Headquarters: Fukushima-ku, Osaka; President: Yusuke Kusu) and Hankyu Hanshin Properties Corporation (Headquarters: Kita-ku, Osaka; President: Yasuki Fukui) are pleased to announce the opening of a new rental space, 'AddROOM Kobe Higashinada,' at 8:00 AM on Friday, August 7, under the elevated section between Hanshin's Fukae and Aoki Stations. This facility will serve as a hub for proposing new lifestyles.

'AddROOM' is designed around the concept of a 'third room'—a personal space beyond home and office—offering private rooms available for hourly use. Three room types are available to suit different needs, making it ideal for gatherings such as team-building events, small workshops, birthday parties, private study sessions, and business meetings. Users can reserve rooms by the hour through a dedicated website and access them seamlessly via a PIN code issued at booking, eliminating the need for in-person check-in and enabling smart, contactless entry and exit.

Hankyu Hanshin Properties launched an internal innovation project called 'FUTR LABO (Future Lab)' in April 2025 to foster new business ventures. The 'AddROOM' rental space is the first tangible outcome of this initiative, with 'AddROOM Kobe Higashinada' serving as its flagship location. The development is also part of a broader effort by Hanshin Electric Railway and Hankyu Hanshin Properties to revitalize the 'Higashinada Elevated Area'—a 3.5-kilometer stretch of elevated space running east-west between Hanshin's Ashiya and Uozaki Stations. Previous initiatives include attracting drugstores to Fukae and Aoki Stations and operating 'GARAIL (Gareel) Kobe Higashinada,' a rental garage house between Aoki and Uozaki Stations.

Going forward, both companies aim to continue creating new value by utilizing railway elevated spaces to propose innovative lifestyles, thereby contributing to regional revitalization and enhancing the value of their railway lines.
