3rd Hiroshima International Festival of Peace and Culture (HiroFes) Overview Announced! Opening August 1st

The Hiroshima International Festival of Peace and Culture Executive Committee has announced the overview for the 3rd Hiroshima International Festival of Peace and Culture (commonly known as HiroFes). Starting with an opening event on August 1st, the festival will span over a month in Hiroshima City, featuring the 3rd Hiroshima International Conducting Competition, Hiroshima Animation Season 2026, and the 2nd Hiroshima Dance Competition—a celebration of peace culture through music, animation, and dance.

**HiroFes Opening Event** - Date/Time: August 1 (Sat), Doors open 16:00 / Start 17:00 - Location: JMS Aster Plaza Large Hall (4-17 Kakomachi, Naka-ku, Hiroshima City)

HiroFes, a biennial comprehensive cultural festival of music, media arts, and street dance, is finally opening on August 1st. Set in Hiroshima during August, this celebration of culture will last for over a month. The 'HiroFes Opening Event,' which marks the start of the festival, is attracting significant attention.

The opening event will include the 'Hiroshima Award' ceremony to honor artists who have contributed to the promotion of peace culture, a performance by the Hiroshima Symphony Orchestra, and a special collaboration program between the orchestra and street dancers. These exciting projects are designed for everyone to enjoy. Admission is free.
